In the fullest sense, we measure evangelistic success by faithfulness. That is, regardless of what happens God is pleased when we share his good news with others. But we are always looking for ways to improve what we do. So, it is helpful to ask a few questions regularly.
- Am I in a situation where there is opportunity to share the gospel or do I need to make changes to my situation?
- Are people responding to the good news of Jesus when we present it? Why or why not?
- Is the language we're using clear enough?
- Do the metaphors I use communicate the gospel?
- What can I do to improve my follow-up?
- How can we better facilitate new believers being integrated into the Christian community?
- Are new believers starting to share their faith with others?
- Are lives being visibly changed after people confess Christ?
- Are we consistently praying for potential believers? And are we consistently praying for those who come to know Christ?
- Do people understand about the cost of discipleship when we invite them to follow Jesus?
